BULLY (review)

Tripp Doogan's BULLY Movie Review

"I remember when I was 12 my mama brought in a newspaper with the story of this Florida murder on the front page." -Tripp Doogan

Only 7 years before his death, Brad Renfro starred as Marty Puccio in BULLY. I remember when I was 12 my mama brought in a newspaper with the story of this Florida murder on the front page. At the time I first read it I didnt think much of it aside from it was just another murder in my state, by some young teens. The movie is based on the true story I read about in that newspaper, it was released on Lions Gate Films in 2001, by Larry Clark - the director of "KIDS". The movie is pretty powerful as you get to see the inside look at teenagers lives and how easily they can be lost, taken, or thrown away over bad decisions. A bully (Bobby Kent) of Cooper City was murdered by his peers in 1993 after he mentally and physically bullied them to the point where they thought plotting on a way to kill him was their only option. This movie is a must see if you have kids, and a very powerful description of a true story!
